OUR STORY

I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t fascinated with nature. I enjoyed the happiest, most vivid times strolling through the enchanting, lush and magical hills, forests and meadows. They bring images of mystery, calm and harmony.

Strolling and gathering bouquets of yellow irises, purple thyme blossoms, chamomile, yarrow, linden leaves, wild cherries, blue violets or wild roses… meant you will not only wonder among this blooming beauties, but you can also take something home to create.

These plants, their petals, scents and seeds were transformed from tea to hair rinses, healing balms for wounds, face creams and eye compresses, medicinal concoctions as well as elevated and comforting meals, vibrant cherry liquors, magical elixirs for sleepy time treat and fruit and flower preserves infused with fragrant leaves of scented geraniums. Their transformations brought about intoxicating botanical and herb scents and skin nourishment. This amazing beauty benefits created comfort in our days and harmony with our relationship with nature. The feeling of comfort and clarity that nature invokes, its abundance and ability to nurture the body, mind and the skin truly amazed me.

Growing up I always knew I wanted a career where I can help and nurture others. After completing teachers college, my parents and aunts where instrumental in inspiring me and encouraging me to pursue a degree in medical cosmetics. That is when I discovered my passion and what sparked my professional journey.

My aunts had successful careers in the pharmaceutical industry and cosmetic chemistry, creating recipes to treat various skin conditions. When at home my aunts, mother and others in our family had a deep passion for mixing and crafting creams, teas, skin remedies, carefully selecting seasonal botanicals abundantly available in the nearby hills and meadows.

Their mentorship not only taught me how to understand the properties of different ingredients, but they also introduced me to three formulas they used to create their finished products. This Formulas provided solid foundation for me to work with and greatly influenced the products and treatments I began to craft when I embarked on my skincare career.

I began my career in Seattle at Robert Leonard, during the ten years there,I developed seasonal, customized methods and products based on my client’s needs, which I still use today. Skin care treatments were new to the city in those years, so I was working amongst a group leading the industry towards ever-lasting change.

In the following years I studied herbalism, botany and plant sciences, new technologies and techniques, managed my own private practice, and hosted numerous beauty events and trunk shows. I also worked at medical clinics in Seattle. where I was able to practice and combine my established methods and proprietary skincare formulations with the newest skincare technologies.

I focused my knowledge on how these types of treatments impact the skin, and formulated skin care products and services based on the skin’s reactions to these and its history.

Now decades later, i can confidently say that my journey in the skincare industry has never been uninteresting. Each passing decade has brought new opportunities and creative possibilities for me to explore. The skin industry is constantly evolving with new ideas, products, and new technology emerging every day, and enjoy working with other brands and professionals in various capacities.

Throughout my journey in the skincare industry, Ive witnessed countless changes and gained wealth of knowledge. Amidst all the discoveries  and advancements few things remain constant - the importance of understanding your own skin and simplifying your routine. I firmly belive that each person should strive to become its own skincare expert, learning how to listen to their skin and cater to its own unique needs.By doing  so, you can minimize the need for excessive  product and makeup. Remember, true beauty comes from embracing your natural self and taking care of your skin with simplicity and intention.
